“What You Need to Know About Your Student Living on Campus” (10:00a.m., 11:00a.m., 1:00p.m.)
Moving your student on campus is an exciting start to the college experience, but can also bring many questions about how to best support them as they transition to on-campus living. Join EKU Housing staff as we cover the basics of living on campus including what we offer, our staff, and how you can assist your student in having the best residential experience possible!
"I’ll Still Be Worried When They are 50! What to Do When You Have Concerns about Your College Student" (10:20a.m., 11:20a.m., 1:20p.m.)
The Director of the Student Success Center has adult children and totally gets it—no matter how old our kids get, we still want to help them. Once a student is in college, however, parents can feel a little bit helpless. When concerns pop up, parents do have channels to use at EKU. This session will show you the resources available to your student as well as offer you a tool that you can use to alert us to your concerns.
Welcome to the Colonel Family: Making the Most of the Fall 2017 Semester (10:40a.m., 11:40a.m., 1:40p.m.)
Maybe it was at Orientation, Move-In Day, or maybe it hasn't hit--you are embarking on a new season of life of supporting your student. What does the future hold for your student's EKU experience, and how can you be a part of it? This session will give you a glimpse at what your student's first semester will look like, and how you can stay informed and engaged with EKU.
