2018 Family Weekend Central
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
Free Friday with Campus Recreation
EKU Challenge Course, 1:00-4:00P.M.
If you would like the chance to go off the zip-line or have your breath taken away by our giant swing, come out to the Challenge Course. The Challenge Course is located behind the Stratton Building. We will have a shuttle running from the Fitness and Wellness Center starting at 1pm with the last shuttle leaving the F&W Center at 3:15pm. Directions and further details can be found at http://campusrec.eku.edu/challenge-course.
*If you would like to participate please be at the course no later than 3:30pm to get up on the course.
*if you are under 18 years of age you will need a guardian to sign the waiver.
*Must wear appropriate clothing (preferably athletic wear)
*Must wear close-toed shoes with laces.
Family Movie Night: Incredibles 2
Kick-off your family weekend experience by enjoying a family-friendly movie under the stars. Please pack blankets and chairs to enjoy your movie experience. Popcorn and refreshments will be provided by the Student Activities Council! Please note: in the event of rain, the location will move to O'Donnell Auditorium in the Whitlock Building.

Check-in as you enter the Fitness & Wellness Center to receive your wristband, complete waivers, and be welcomed into Family Fun Day!
Family Fun Day
Fitness & Wellness Center, 12:00 P.M. – 3:30 P.M.
Enjoy all of the fun of the pinnacle event of Family Weekend with your Colonel family! The Family Fun Day includes games, music, pizza, activities, and a community service project. There will also be informational stations and chances to enter the Family of the Year and the Legacy Family of the Year competitions. The respectful winners will receive a prize basket, watch the game from the President's Box, and will also be formally recognized at halftime! Additionally, EKU Family t-shirts will be available for sale!
Home Opener: EKU Football vs. Southeast Missouri State University
Roy Kidd Stadium, 4:00 P.M.
Excite your Colonel spirit cheering on our Colonels during our second home game of the year!
Price: $6 per person; free for children age 3 and under. To receive this discount, tickets purchased prior to game day must be bought via the EKU Ticket Office using code 'family'. Tickets can also be purchased at the ticket booth the day-of the event by showing your Family Weekend wristband. Please note: Current EKU students with a valid EKU I.D. get in free of charge.

Family Weekend Brunch
Case Kitchen, 10:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M.
Price: $9 per person
Enjoy brunch with your Colonel before departing in our brand new dining hall.

The Campus Beautiful is growing! Join us to tour residence halls, and learn about the amenities and living experience Housing & Residence Life provides. Please check-in at the lobby of the respectful residence hall to join a tour.
Student Success Center Open House
Student Success Center (Crabbe Library First Floor), 10:00 A.M.-11:30 A.M.
The Student Success Center is designed to serve as a one-stop-shop where students can get assistance with an array of areas like course work, financial aid, study skills, choosing a major, course registration, stress management, and much more. Stop in to explore the space and interact with Student Success Center staff.
“Perfect Little Planet” (Children’s Show)

Price: Adults $6+ tax; Senior Citizens, EKU Students, faculty, staff, military, and children 4-17 $5+tax.

You can fly over the surface of Pluto, our best known Dwarf Planet. Then, dive over the ice cliffs of Miranda, sail through the rings of Saturn, and much more! Join us on this adventure and see what destination they choose.
“Stars” (All Ages)

Every star has a story. Some are old as time, faint and almost forgotten. Others burn bright and end their lives in powerful explosions. New stars are created everyday. This show focuses on the lives of stars, how they are born, how they die, and how human understanding of the stars has changed over time.
